ST. CATHARINES ? With forecasts calling for freezing rain, ice pellets and high winds throughout the day and overnight, the City would like to remind residents what to do and who to call during emergency situations.
If you see flooding, call the Lake Street Service Centre at 905.935.3813.
Report basement flooding to the Lake Street Service Centre at 905.935.3813. Don?t go into a flooded basement, as there could be electrical currents. Call 911 instead.
To report a power outage call Horizon Utilities at 905.684.8111. Updates are also available by following Horizon Utilities on Twitter @HorizonOutage.
Call 911 if you see downed hydro lines. Do not drive over them, as they could be active hydro lines.
To report downed trees or clogged culverts and catch basins call the Lake Street Service Centre at 905.935.3813.

The following public service announcement was issued Thursday afternoon by the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake:
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Niagara early this evening and a risk of thunderstorms overnight. Easterly winds are expected to gust between 50 km/hr to 70km/hr.
While the temperature is expected to rise to 5?C by tomorrow morning, rain, high winds and thunderstorms are still forecast for Friday morning.
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is reminding residents about contacts in case of emergency:
? To report flooding, downed trees or clogged culverts or catch basins, please call our after-hours Public Works line at 905-468-3278.
? Please do not go into a flooded basement in case there are electrical currents. Please call 911.
? Please call 911 if you see downed hydro lines. Do not go near or drive over them in case they are active.
? To report a power outage, please call NOTL Hydro at 905-468-4235.

The following public service advisory has been issued by the City of Niagara Falls:
Municipal staff are continuing to monitor the current weather system affecting our area.
Throughout the day crews performed road patrols on arterial and collector roads.
The current forecast calls for lower temperatures and freezing rain throughout the evening. Until the system moves out of our area crews will continue to perform patrols and will take required action based on conditions.
Residents are reminded to monitor their local weather channels and to exercise caution when traveling as they may encounter less than ideal road conditions.
