About the event:
A research study conducted by?RUSI and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), New Delhi has identified a clear danger to India from Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) terrorism.
The study, entitled Chemical, Biological and Radiological Materials: An Analysis of Security Risks and Terrorist Threats to India, can be downloaded here
This workshop will present the findings of the research and enable the report to be discussed in depth with the authors. The workshop will set out opportunities for UK expertise, export and capacity building in India that can help to address the vulnerability gaps identified.
Opportunities and partnerships for UK input have been identified in the following areas in particular:
- Threat awareness training and consultancy
- Insider threat identification
- GPS tracking systems
- Training in correct use of detection equipment and PPE
- In-transit guarding
- Manufacturing
In addition to the workshop, RUSI is offering tailored consultations with the report authors, to discuss specific opportunities for potential partners; consultations will include matching UK and Indian business partners.
